A Needed Rescue
Life, or life’s experiences, often cause us to need a rescue. Largely because we try to figure it out to get out of the mess we find ourselves in. In making a plan, we often find ourselves in a deeper hole, thinking we are finding our way out when, in essence, we are digging a deeper hole.
Many of life’s happenings happen to us, without our consent or without our knowing. I am not sure which is worse, or if it even matters, the order in which it happens. Either way, it catches us off guard. But it never catches God off guard; that is why He tells us to keep our hearts with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23), and again, see that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:15-16).
